  8. Avoid caffeine (e.g. coffee, tea, soft drinks, chocolate) close to bedtime. It can keep you awake

Oxygen levels drop and hormones are released which over time can result in high blood pressure. If this is not treated, serious health problems from heart attack to organ failure can result.

A few other factors that can increase the liklihood of snoring or sleep apnea are being overweight, alcohol consumption, smoking and indulging in heavy meals shortly before sleep.

So, it’s been established that snoring or sleep apnea can lead to high blood pressure. What about the other way around?

4. Dairy products and cow’s milk products in particular, should be avoided to because they can lead to allergic reactions create excessive mucus and take longer to digest. Some of the main east infection factors can include allergies and digestive problems. Better alternatives to dairy products of Cow’s milk are organic goat and sheep’s milk products.

5. To stop Candida overgrowth, it is important to maintain the right acid-alkaline balance. That means the right “PH” level in your blood. PH is measured on a scale that goes from zero to fourteen where fourteen is the most alkaline, seven is neutral and zero is the most acid. Your body functions best in the range of PH 7.35 and 7.45 for acidity in the blood. Any extra acidity makes for a context where candida multiplies. An alkaline food plan, which is based on consumption of alkaline forming foods (foods with calcium, cesium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, almonds, green juices, and most fresh vegetables etc.) with moderate consumption of foods that form acids (most meats, fish, dairy and grain products) can help you regain your alkaline quotient to better control candida growth.

6. A study by Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York revealed that eating foods rich in betacarotene (a natural substance that’s converted into vitamin A in the body) could offer some protection against yeast infections.

Snoring. It’s something we all grow up knowing about. Granddaddies snore after Thanksgiving dinners.

Why we snore

First of all, it may be hereditary. That’s right; certain physical characteristics may just be family traits we can’t avoid.

Large tonsils and adenoids can contribute to snoring.

Gender can increase your odds of snoring. Males tend to snore more. Age also contributes. The older most people get, the less toned they are. Muscle tone or rather the lack of around the throat can lead to snoring.

Reduced air flow through the nose due to an illness or having allergies can result in snoring as well as a poor night’s rest.

Besides suggesting having appropriate diet, there is another dominant factor: life style (healthy immune system depends on healthy body condition). Factors that included in life style: stress, pollution, liquor/alcohol, smoking, drugs, medicine intervention, obesity, lack of exercise, and being old. Logically speaking, a sneeze is a way out for the ‘bad stuffs’ get out from your body. Such ‘bad stuffs’ contain disease, bacteria, virus, etc. Therefore, sneezing is a form of natural healing for our body.

That’s why, in certain religion, i.e. Islam, when a Muslim is having sneeze, s/he is encouraged being grateful by praying “Alhamdulillah” (Thanks to Allah/God), and if there is another Muslim hears a Muslim sneezes, it is a noble deed to pray for her/him who sneezes and says Alhamdulillah.

Explanation

Sneezing lightens the mind of man, and bodily he feels comfort. It is, therefore, something good and one should glorify Allah for it.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, “When one of you sneezes he should say: `Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah),’ and his brother or his companion should say to him: `Yarhamuk-Allah (may Allah have mercy on you).’ When he says this he should reply: `Yahdikum-ullah wa yuslihu balakum (may Allah guide you and render sound your state of affairs).’ [Al-Bukhari].

Explanation:  This Hadith teaches Muslims to have good wishes for one another and to return good for good. This reciprocity increases mutual love and results in the unity, peace and dynamism of the Muslim society.

Thus, it answers the question why in air conditioned room we feel uncomfortable and getting hot as more people joins us in that room.

Swimming 3 times a week can be benefit too, for older peoples this type of exercise not only healthy to your heart also strengthen the muscle naturally, and making your lungs capacity of O2 even improved.

Taking Yoga class, to meditate and practice internal energy is quite often applied by women who are too busy with their family and office matters, is a best way to reach inner calmness and avoid stress.

Last but not least my favorites after working out is Sauna Room, this is a must “do”, it’s making your body steam out and extract the sweat and making your freshness to become normal temperature with surrounding, try this please.

Taking Care of Your Teeth

Did you remember our previous posting about brushing your teeth regularly can prevent heart disease? This time, let’s hear what Ari Lestariono wishes to deliver for you on taking care of your teeth.  Please be reminded, that there are other certain ways to secure and protect your overall health, i.e.  health insurance and bear in mind that holistic remedies also include the feeling of safe and security for your health in the future and how would you be able to guarantee them from the lack of financial support.

I believe every readers in this blog community has experienced tooth ache, either a tooth embedded in their gums and have to applied mouth surgery, or cavity in their tooth and has to cover the holes and avoid further detrimental to oral’s health.

As kids back then I remember that my mother always take me to have a routine check up every 3- 4 months or 6 months to a dentist and check the conditions of the teeth.

As we grow older and our baby tooth replaced by adult tooth, still requires to check up to a dentist every 6 months to make sure the healthiness of tooth, gums and oral are in healthy manner.

I was lucky since when I was working, the company reimbursed my expenses, and when I was a boy my parents took care of the cost problems. Then when I got retrenchments from my previous company, I realized I have no insurance or sufficient budget to go to a dentist to do check up.

I believe every reader has also experienced these problems and by having dentist insurance as referenced by our colleagues and owner of the blog http://www.dentalbuddy.co.uk/, we have to search that insurance that has reliable reputation.

We all need this kind of facilities, don’t make an action after you have problems with your tooth, taking preventions by making the right action to apply to these providers as listed in my friend’s blog.
