FACT
Brushing your teeth regularly has been shown to prevent heart disease.
I remembered when my dentist always advice me to brush my teeth every time I finish eat meals or even chew a bit of snacks or fruits. He also suggested me to carry handy toothbrush every where I go, thus including during traveling using airplane or train. I asked him the reason for this and he explained that every bit of food that has bitten by your teeth leaves a ‘trail’ and this lead to tooth decay, plague or gum disease. Moreover, if you don’t brush your teeth properly, some foods are being so stubborn enough to remain there as well.
The good news from this good habit is when I found out that a new study conducted by British and American researchers, states that warding off gum disease can directly improve the health of blood vessels by helping the flow of blood through arteries. Gum disease may provide bacteria a port of entry into your bloodstream.
Furthermore, better oral care is must for enjoying better cardiovascular health. Not only that, it is the window for your overall health. Your eyes may be the window to your soul, but your mouth is a window to your body’s health. The state of your oral health can offer lots of clues about your overall health. Oral health and overall health are more connected than you might realize. So please do not forget to brush your teeth plus floss properly and get yourself regular dental checkups, can help prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
