Eating Healthy: Why You Shouldn’t Neglect It

- Increase your food consumptions on vegetables, fruits, whole grains and peanuts. They should become your daily intake. It would be the best for your health if you can have 70% from daily food consumptions contain vegetables. Besides the high fiber that is useful for digestions, vegetables contain all vitamins and mineral, and antioxidant requires by our body. For optimum result, it is better you consume vegetables in fresh condition, or minimize the process before you eat.
- Meat can be consumed only once in a week. Consuming meat, especially red meat should be avoided, because it is hazardous to your body. They contain fatty acid and high cholesterol threat. Do not worry about getting insufficient protein just because you do not eat meat. Protein can be taken from vegetables, such as peanuts and cereal. Also, fish contains high fatty acid omega 3 like salmon, sardine and mackerel. They are giving protection for your heart from heart attack.
- Use the healthy fat. Fat proportions should not be more than 20 - 30%. It is strongly recommended to avoid fat from meat, especially red meat. Moreover, vegetable (unsaturated fat) like olive oil and canola provide benefits to your heart health.
- Reduce your sugar and salt consumption. Try as much as possible to avoid sugar and salt. For instance, cookies, snacks, etc.
- Drink a lot of water. Drink 6 to 8 glass of water per day to avoid dehydrations. Besides water, tea that is rich in antioxidant would be an ideal beverage to be taken on daily basis.
- Time Lag between eating your meals. There should be time lag around 5 hours. The meals you eat will be digested after 4 - 5 hours and then they will leave the stomach. If there is new foods intake between this lagging times, there are two possibilities. First, the food will not digest properly. Thus, it can cause fermentation. Second, the food will not be processed properly in stomach, because they will go through intestines directly. Therefore, the effect of bacteria will ferment in your intestine and food with imperfect digestions will cause you gas in stomach and consequently, will make you feel uncomfortable.

Avoiding fatty food is good for our health. Of course who will neglect eating healthy food which will really helps us to be healthy in and out. It feels great to be healthy right?
