We all are aware that spices have been long known from generation to generation as basic recipe in our meals to preserve vitality, maintain health, prevent illnesses and healing diseases. And here I thought spices were just used to make good tastier. It is very interesting that they have health benefits.
Sure spices are healthy! There are few most important in my kitchen - garlic, curaway, majroram. Do not forget to use salt and pepper.
The only spice that immediately comes to my mind is oregano, although I don’t know how healthy it is for you. Pepper is also in my spice cabinet.
I cut my thumb while cooking two days ago and although the bleeding stopped the cut has gotten more painful and it is really red. I am worried as to whether i have an infection or if it is normal. The pain is spreading into my forearm.

I would visit a doctor if the cut continues to get inflammed. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.
We have salt and pepper for the basic and everyday meals and some garlic. yeah i do believe that spices are healthy for the body

garlic, ginger, tumeric - i use all these to help keep my arthritis at bay

How long do spcies and herbs keep their freshness? They do not have an expiration date on them; so, what is the trick to telling if they are fresh and strong enough to use in a recipe?Just smell them?? Can they go bad, where it is not best to use them?Thanks
