An insomnia remedy will not work well if your body is uptight from anxiety and tension. You will need to lower the amount of stress you are under, and learn to to relax. Here are five things that will help you relax so you can fall asleep soon after you go to bed.
Just before bedtime take a nice warm bath. Lay down in the tub and let the water come up to your neck. Lay there and soak for fifteen or twenty minutes. Dry off and go straight to bed.
An insomnia remedy will only work if you relax. After you take a bath, lay down under the covers, and read until you get tired and are ready to go to sleep. Completely relax and you will fall asleep.
Get in bed and lay on your back. Put your arms beside you without letting them touch your body. Keep your legs apart so they won’t touch each other. Pretend you are lying on a cloud. Start at your toes and make them relax as you feel them sinking into the cloud. Move up to your feet and relax, then your legs and on up to your head. You will be able to tell if you are relaxing or not, because if you are, you will be sound asleep before you reach your head.
Rising early in the morning at 6:00 a. m. will help you be good and tired at bedtime. Keep busy during the day and do not take a nap no matter how tired you feel. Keep moving and the sleepiness will go away. By evening time you should be tired and it will be easy to fall asleep.

After supper don’t eat any type of pastries or desserts. Avoid tea and coffee because of the caffeine. These are all stimulants and they won’t allow your body to slow down so you can rest.
Try these different insomnia remedies until you find one that will work for you. You may have to do a combination of remedies in order to fall asleep quickly. The important thing is to stay busy during the day and allow your body to relax at night. Be sure to look forward to a good night’s sleep.
