7 Eminent Tactics to Stop Hiccup Naturally

Do you feel annoyed every time when hiccup hit you unexpectedly?

Hiccups result from involuntary spasms of the diaphragm, or trap air in the diaphragm. Some of you may get them after meals, and they can go on for hours if not brought to a halt.

There are 7 options of natural ways to stop hiccup:

- Hold your breath for 30 seconds and then release it. For details of breath techniques, find it out here.

- Try taking a deep breath and hold and when you feel another hiccup about to happen quickly take another deep breath and hold. Do this a couple of times and then they will disperse also.

- Breathe into a paper bag five times in a row.

- Sip 10 (ten) consecutive gulps slowly from a glass of warm water without stopping to take a breath.

- Immerse your face in ice-cold water for 30 seconds.

- Swallow a teaspoon of dry white granulated sugar.

- Drink or swallow a tablespoon of vinegar.

If you began to hiccup after taking a medication, seek medical help. Also see a doctor if the hiccups don’t stop after 24 hours (3 hours for young children) of if they are extremely painful.

There is another technique to bring to an end hiccup but becareful to do this for people who might have heart attack tendency. Thus, it would be by making scare your hiccups away.  Give a friend permission to startle you.  The sudden surprise sometimes stops hiccups cold.

Success varies depending on the individual’s response and the severity of the hiccups. Find the technique that works best for you and stick with it.

    This is possibly one of the better articles I have located on this subject. I would like to know if you have you looked into the other side of the subject of natural health? Personally, I think a good argument could be made either way, but let me know if you have any more sources on the Internet that back up what you are saying.
