Hello readers, in the world of consuming non healthy food, and quick lifestyle, fast motion meeting with clients, we just don’t have time to pick our food that is healthy enough to consume, I don’t blame you then.I would suggest that taking food in various fruits or vegetables. This is the one method to keep you healthy.

Other ways are working out at Gym and do work out to let go your stress, weight lifting is good also to maintain the density of the muscles.

Jogging or running daily around 30 minutes is quite fun to do it with your dogs and small cool down is required to steam out the negative energy from your systems.

Swimming 3 times a week can be benefit too, for older peoples this type of exercise not only healthy to your heart also strengthen the muscle naturally, and making your lungs capacity of O2 even improved.

Taking Yoga class, to meditate and practice internal energy is quite often applied by women who are too busy with their family and office matters, is a best way to reach inner calmness and avoid stress.

Last but not least my favorites after working out is Sauna Room, this is a must “do”, it’s making your body steam out and extract the sweat and making your freshness to become normal temperature with surrounding, try this please.

My friend’s blog is about Sauna, he has it all at http://www.crystalsauna.com/, various types’ utilities, such as infrared, packed in special wood type that characterized as Sauna norms of standards, and you can pick your option there, and build yourselves at your home or gym room.

This site, I think is the best offer for Sauna facilities, it’s not just build for people who loved to go to gym also to busy people and people concerned about their health care.

Filed Under (Holistic Remedies, Miscellaneous, Sponsored Post) by Eri on 23-06-2009

Did you remember our previous posting about brushing your teeth regularly can prevent heart disease? This time, let’s hear what Ari Lestariono wishes to deliver for you on taking care of your teeth.  Please be reminded, that there are other certain ways to secure and protect your overall health, i.e.  health insurance and bear in mind that holistic remedies also include the feeling of safe and security for your health in the future and how would you be able to guarantee them from the lack of financial support.

I believe every readers in this blog community has experienced tooth ache, either a tooth embedded in their gums and have to applied mouth surgery, or cavity in their tooth and has to cover the holes and avoid further detrimental to oral’s health.

As kids back then I remember that my mother always take me to have a routine check up every 3- 4 months or 6 months to a dentist and check the conditions of the teeth.

As we grow older and our baby tooth replaced by adult tooth, still requires to check up to a dentist every 6 months to make sure the healthiness of tooth, gums and oral are in healthy manner.

I was lucky since when I was working, the company reimbursed my expenses, and when I was a boy my parents took care of the cost problems. Then when I got retrenchments from my previous company, I realized I have no insurance or sufficient budget to go to a dentist to do check up.

I believe every reader has also experienced these problems and by having dentist insurance as referenced by our colleagues and owner of the blog http://www.dentalbuddy.co.uk/, we have to search that insurance that has reliable reputation.

We all need this kind of facilities, don’t make an action after you have problems with your tooth, taking preventions by making the right action to apply to these providers as listed in my friend’s blog.

It is a good way to take preventions, I experienced tooth ache and you can not do your daily activity.

Take my friendly advice and quickly applied to these providers in dental insurance.

Hope we all learnt something about these teeth issues.

Traveling Safe and Sound with little Baby

Filed Under (Miscellaneous, Sponsored Post) by Eri on 17-06-2009

This wonderful posting is contributed by Ari Lestariono. Let’s listen what he wishes to deliver for you on traveling safe and sound with little baby. Do bear in mind that holistic remedies also include the feeling of safe and security not only for yourself, but also for your loved ones.  As parents, especially young parents having baby or toddlers is quite a hectic, one thousand reasons happen can occur if you guys traveling with baby or toddlers, I experienced this when my nephew was a baby or most likely toddlers, this little fellow if it’s on his mood he’ll become a good boy, yet when off mode became little monster and making all noise during a trip in a car, super market, restaurants, hotel, especially hotel, punching the bell boy for room service just for the sake of having fun, it’s annoying to adults and environments. The reasons are why we deliberately guided our readers to take a look at this site for life educations and both to our baby, this baby banz site has it all.

From traveling guidance, safety pack baby traveler until staying at hotel with baby acceptance as to no hindrance stake from the hotel owner and surrounding. This is what in my opinion must read bog thoroughly. Unless you are experience parents and know how best to dealt with baby.

The most tough questions when asked as parents is, how do you dealt traveling with babies and a list of question arise during that experiences….” Somehow these babies also can teach you many things, patience I thing is the best lessons”…”or what will you do if your baby crying out loud while your in a lorry of train at night while other passenger is sleeping?

All too many to describe, if you go through the above blogs, it’ll show tips and trick how to dealt with any situations with baby on traveling.

Having said that most experience Mom is conversations is sharing their experience with other Mom’s how to handle their babies, and the knowledge is gaining, more to it giving a free lessons to community other than Mom’s association to both gain benefit. I still remember when I was a boy, not a baby, accompanying my mother to a tea party in our neighborhood, many of them always discussing issues how to handle babies problems, their behavior, having cold, or fever, and many thing it can be said. I think this could be an interesting topic and educational for parents or Mom’s instead of discussing how much discount in Mall, or talking consumptive things that I don’t think is wise especially during global recessions.

I hope the above can be a good pointer to every one. Please check this out http://www.babysafetravel.com/baby-boutique/category-4/

Isotonic Drinks, Is It A Healthy Solution?

Filed Under (Miscellaneous) by Eri on 09-06-2009

The only thing when you were heat up or exhausted after working out, and lots of sweat is to drink something that can refresh your body and regain your energy. Isotonic drink is still an option. Is it true this beverage can rejuvenate and regain your energy?

Here is a program to regain your energy back and completely eliminate your exhausted, not only will improve your health, also boost your immune system:

End Tiredness Program

Water formed to 60-70% of water in your body. Part of this water is exhaust through perspiration, fasces, urine and respiration. Consequently, water that has exhausted should be replacing continuously. Lacking of fluid will cause metabolism in body. Average adult people require 2, 5 liter per day, the quantity increased during exerciser. In normal conditions, consuming water and foods containing high fluid is sufficient to replace the exhausted fluids. It’s a different story if your body dehydrates and extracts excessive fluids. Dehydrate occur when high temperature to body applied, sweating in excessive, or diarrhea. The body not only looses many fluids, also important electrolyte such as chloride, calcium, magnesium, sodium and kalium. It is proven in research that 1 % dehydration are already making big changes in body temperature. Meanwhile 2 % dehydration can decreased the endurance down to one third. Loosing more than 2 % of fluids it is not sufficient by replacing with water. Since adding water will only dissolve the electrolyte and will intervene the functions of those electrolyte with the effect to water poison and harmful to your body.

Electrolyte is a mineral in blood and fluids in your body with carrying potentials electric quantum. It is important to balance the electrolyte in the body having the impact to quantity of water in the body, blood pH, muscle activity and much other important process.

The quantity of brand isotonic drink in the market reflects the enthusiasm of people to this kind of drink. These drinks not only to prevent dehydration for athletes, also is used by ordinary people, from kids, teenager until elderly peoples. Actually is it safe to drink this kind of isotonic drink?

Not an Energy Drink

The idea of isotonic drink came from the usage of hospital using infuse to patient that have problems in consuming foods and or drinks through mouth. The content is mixture of water and glucose with addition vitamin and mineral.

Isotonic drink and energy drink actually is a two different things, although the two are so called for sport drinks. Isotonic drinks are made without caffeine and similar to fluids used by infuse in hospital to prevent dehydration. While energy drink on the contrary can cause dehydration which contains caffeine. Caffeine are stimulant can caused the energy to boost instant and having the diuretic symptoms. Therefore isotonic is more accurate to call as sports drinks.

Sports drinks are beverage that can dehydrate and at the same time replace electrolyte, carbohydrate, and other enzyme nutritious that exhaust with sweat after exercise or work out. Lacking electrolyte can caused the muscles contractions and impacting to cramp.

Lacking carbohydrate can decreased the fuel in body to muscles and source of energy is to efficient using less O2 compare to protein or fat.

During work out, the muscles will take glucose from the storage of liver. Consuming carbohydrate before and after work out can prevent the blood level to decrease and sustaining the glycogen in body. Heavy training can decreased 3 - 4 gram sugar in 1 minute. Recovery of muscle and glycogen storage in liver recuperates within 24 - 48 hours.

To obtain energy it’s not sufficient from fuel only. Many elements required such as vitamin C and vitamin B in energy drinks in markets containing caffeine than carbohydrate. Caffeine is not energy it is stimulant to boost energy. If people are sayings that energy drink can prevent from sleepy, that is caffeine.

Choose the Right Thing

A fluid can be called isotonic if it contains carbohydrate and electrolyte(i.e. Natrium, Calcium, Magnesium, Cilium, Chloride) with concentration 6 - 8 %.This concentrations having Osmolarity or degree of rheology close to serum(the fluids in blood concentrations). These concentrations like this needed to accelerate the process of  absorptions from stomach to intestine. Beside the above factors, an isotonic drink should also have the criteria, not preservatives, caffeine, etc. Other isotonic drink adding to C vitamin, and B Vitamin with the considerations that those additional vitamins required by body that has lost energy or fluids during work out or daily activity, it is acceptable as long the measurement is balance and not overwhelming.

Eating Healthy: Why You Shouldn’t Neglect It

Filed Under (Natural Cure) by Eri on 03-06-2009

Jan de Vries, practitioner and pioneer naturopath from Scotland, point out his pondering the essence of balance in consuming foods and beverages to attain perfect health.

  1. Increase your food consumptions on vegetables, fruits, whole grains and peanuts. They should become your daily intake. It would be the best for your health if you can have 70% from daily food consumptions contain vegetables.  Besides the high fiber that is useful for digestions, vegetables contain all vitamins and mineral, and antioxidant requires by our body. For optimum result, it is better you consume vegetables in fresh condition, or minimize the process before you eat.
  1. Meat can be consumed only once in a week. Consuming meat, especially red meat should be avoided, because it is hazardous to your body. They contain fatty acid and high cholesterol threat. Do not worry about getting insufficient protein just because you do not eat meat. Protein can be taken from vegetables, such as peanuts and cereal. Also, fish contains high fatty acid omega 3 like salmon, sardine and mackerel. They are giving protection for your heart from heart attack.
  1. Use the healthy fat. Fat proportions should not be more than 20 - 30%. It is strongly recommended to avoid fat from meat, especially red meat. Moreover, vegetable (unsaturated fat) like olive oil and canola provide benefits to your heart health.
  1. Reduce your sugar and salt consumption. Try as much as possible to avoid  sugar and salt. For instance, cookies, snacks, etc.
  1. Drink a lot of water. Drink 6 to 8 glass of water per day to avoid dehydrations. Besides water, tea that is rich in antioxidant would be an ideal beverage to be taken on daily basis.
  1. Time Lag between eating your meals. There should be time lag around 5 hours. The meals you eat will be digested after 4 - 5 hours and then they will leave the stomach. If there is new foods intake between this lagging times, there are two possibilities. First, the food will not digest properly. Thus, it can cause fermentation. Second, the food will not be processed properly in stomach, because they will go through intestines directly. Therefore, the effect of bacteria will ferment in your intestine and food with imperfect digestions will cause you gas in stomach and consequently, will make you feel uncomfortable.

Home Remedies for Colds and Allergies

Filed Under (Home Remedies, Natural Remedies) by Eri on 01-06-2009

The weather nowadays seems so unpredictable although we have been learning so many years that certain months have particular seasons. Usually at these times, I often see many people got cold, sore throat or allergy. Here are some tips below to deal with such ailments using home remedies which I came across from a grandmother’s experience combine with my own.
Bronchitis: For mild bronchitis symptoms, use a vaporizer, take a steamy shower or turn the hot water on in the sink and cover your head and the sink with a towel (kind of a quick and easy sauna) to ease your discomfort and open up your chest.

Congestion: Red pepper, jalapenos and hot salsa will temporarily open up your nasal passages and break up congestion.

Eat plenty of varied fruits like oranges, kiwi, guava, papaya, etc. and make your plate a ‘rainbow’ plate which means regularly eat different colors of fruits.

Echinacea: drink Echinacea tea at the very first sign of a cold.

Green tea: Green tea is a natural antihistamine, which helps both allergies and colds. Choose Oolong type (Chinese green tea) or Ocha type (Japanese green tea).

Saline nose drops: Make your own nose drops by sprinkling some salt in boiled water (about 1/4 cup) to break up congestion and help you breathe (or you can get it already bottled and ready to use at the local drug store).

Sore throat, gargle salt water several times daily or gargle cider vinegar. Another way is you can chew on a cod liver oil pill, or drink hot green tea as (jujube tea).
Thyme: Make a tea with thyme or add a little to your recipes when you cook to break up congestion and relieve stuffy noses.

Vicks Up: Rub a little Vick’s Vapor Rub or another menthol salve on the upper chest, then rub what is left on your fingers under your nose, this can break up congestion and help you breathe more easily.

Have you brushed your teeth today?

Filed Under (Holistic Remedies, Miscellaneous) by Eri on 29-05-2009

FACT

Brushing your teeth regularly has been shown to prevent heart disease.

I remembered when my dentist always advice me to brush my teeth every time I finish eat meals or even chew a bit of snacks or fruits. He also suggested me to carry handy toothbrush every where I go, thus including during traveling using airplane or train. I asked him the reason for this and he explained that every bit of food that has bitten by your teeth leaves a ‘trail’ and this lead to tooth decay, plague or gum disease. Moreover, if you don’t brush your teeth properly, some foods are being so stubborn enough to remain there as well.

The good news from this good habit is when I found out that a new study conducted by British and American researchers, states that warding off gum disease can directly improve the health of blood vessels by helping the flow of blood through arteries. Gum disease may provide bacteria a port of entry into your bloodstream.

Furthermore, better oral care is must for enjoying better cardiovascular health. Not only that, it is the window for your overall health. Your eyes may be the window to your soul, but your mouth is a window to your body’s health. The state of your oral health can offer lots of clues about your overall health. Oral health and overall health are more connected than you might realize. So please do not forget to brush your teeth plus floss properly and get yourself regular dental checkups, can help prevent tooth decay and gum disease.

Filed Under (Holistic Remedies, Natural Remedies) by Eri on 27-05-2009

“The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.”
~ Anne Frank ~

We are oneness with the universe.

That’s why when we feel something missing from our inner selves, our nature is the best answer for natural remedies.
